Ken Mehlman
Kenneth Brian Mehlman (born August 21, 1966, Baltimore, Maryland) is an American attorney and politician who served as the campaign manager for the 2004 re-election campaign of George W. Bush and Chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2005 to 2007. On August 26, 2010, Mehlman came out as a homosexual, making him the highest ranking gay politician in the Republican Party.
In 2007, President Bush appointed Mehlman to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council.
Mehlman is currently a Managing Director and head of Global Public Affairs for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., he previously served as a partner at the law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.
